I love, love, love this quote from Dale Carnegie – “If you believe in what you are doing, then let nothing hold you up in your work. Much of the best work of the world has been done against seeming impossibilities. The thing is to get the work done.”
Ever see the right quote, picture, movie or hear the perfect song lyric at just the precise time you needed a good kick in the trunk? I found the above gem recently, just as I was marveling that the sands of time remain on the move. “Life moves faster than I do” and I must double the efforts if I am to get all the books (swimming about in my head) onto the shelf before the top half of my hour glass is empty.
I need to re-read Mr. Carnegie’s quote everyday.
As for this post’s title, a long time ago I adopted the work attitude that ‘if it’s meant to be, it’s up to me.’ I suspect Mr. Carnegie would approve.
